International Cosmic Day (ICD) is dedicated to cosmic particles. These particles are present in our earth's atmosphere but are hardly noticed.
The 12th International Cosmic Day was marked on 21st November 2023. Students, teachers and scientists from close to 100 institutions from around the world participated in the ICD to share knowledge about cosmic particles.
The discussions focus on the following topics:

- How can they be measured and what can we learn from them?
- Students in the Department of Physics at Kenyatta University took part in this event
