Doctor of Philosophy (Computer Science)

Introduction

The Ph.D. program aims at training a graduate to become an expert in any of the computer science main domains. The Ph.D. is aimed at guiding students into exploring technological issues through research, networks, collaboration and innovation. Graduates of this program are fundamentally prepared to develop technological solutions for data management, artificial intelligence, and networks.

Programme objectives

a)       To equip the learner with knowledge and skills for critically analysing and applying technologies

b)      To design, develop, and implement computer-based prototypes for solving real-life problems

Justification / Rationale

Ph.D. in computer science is critical for addressing modern society’s growing need for advanced technological solutions in a time when digital transformation is accelerating the various sectors of the economy. These solutions can only be found through technological-based research and training.

Entry Requirements

A Masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, software engineering, or any other relevant Masters degree from a recognized institution

Mode and Structure of Delivery

Full Time/Evening/Weekend at Main and City Campus.

Three semester per year for accelerated completion
